A Taste of Home, From Turkey to New Mexico

Meso Grill began with brothers Umut and Mehmet Kokangul and a love for sharing the food they grew up with in Turkey.

After moving to the United States, the brothers often gathered with family and friends to cook traditional dishes inspired by their upbringing. Encouraged by those around them, they decided to bring those flavors to Albuquerque.

With more than 10 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Umut opened Meso Grill at Sawmill Market with a mission to serve authentic Mediterranean cuisine with a homemade touch.

From hummus and baba ghanoush to lamb gyros and baklava, our menu is inspired by family recipes and the rich culinary traditions of Turkey and the Mediterranean.
